Jamie was born in York (1978), and brought-up in the Ryedale villages of Beadlam/Nawton in rural North Yorkshire. Having lived and worked in Scarborough since 2007, he has spent most of his life in Yorkshire and the North-East of England. This strong connection to place has shaped both his personal journey, and creative outlook.

His educational path includes Nawton Community Primary School, Terrington Hall Preparatory School, Durham School, Hull University, and he is currently studying at Arts University Bournemouth. An exchange year in Canada broadened his perspective and deepened his appreciation for culture, creativity, and community.

At the heart of Jamie’s life is a God-given purpose rooted in faith, family, music, and writing. An amateur musician with a young family, he feels at home in the creative arts, drawing inspiration from everyday life, spirituality, and the world around him.
