Tendrils

Tendrils is a tangle of poetry, fiction and creative non-fiction celebrating nature, identity and personal growth. Created by students of the MA Creative Writing course at Arts University Bournemouth with the guidance of industry experts, this eclectic collection offers a tantalising cross-section of distinctive, emerging voices: an international collective of rhizomatic writers whose strands connect far and wide. Dig in to read about an Irish fishing family threatened by ecotoxicity, a spooky tale about an elderly housemate’s past as an acrobat, the lives of foreign nurses working for the NHS, an experience of re-coming out as LGBTQIA+, and much more.

‘This is a bold, questioning, and imaginatively ambitious anthology. Across poems, stories, and hybrid works, these writers explore nature, selfhood, futurity, rupture, and repair with clarity and courage.

Tendrils marks the beginning of many writing journeys I am certain will continue to branch, twist, and flourish.’
